Germany is a clean, a good country. It is a country where a cartel of carmakers is deliberately poisoning its own as well as its purely export-oriented population. The money that the cartel earns in the process is not invested in making its dirty cars a little less dirty, but in manipulating the measurements of pollutants; while the minister responsible for this attack on life and limb "categorically" refuses to receive the organization that essentially helped uncover the scandal – the Deutsche Umwelthilfe (German Environmental Aid) – even for an interview.

Tim Murphy, the U.S. congressman of the Republican Party in Pennsylvania, is an avowed opponent of abortion. He has now decided to turn over a new leaf in his life, House Speaker Paul Ryan announced Thursday. He would resign and not run again at the end of the legislative session. The reason: the abortion opponent called for an abortion.
